Kretzer Piano Music Foundation Welcomes Lynn University's Conservatory of Music Woodwind Department Tonight

Kathi Kretzer-Sayler, founder of the Kretzer Piano Music Foundation (KPMF) announced it would be presenting in concert talented musicians from the only Conservatory of Music in South Florida. Presented as part of KPMF's ongoing Music for the Mind series to benefit music education, the concert will feature professional level students from the Woodwind Department of the Lynn University Conservatory of Music in Boca Raton, who will perform works by Bach, Mozart, Villa-Lobo among others. The student instrumentalists will perform on flute, clarinet, oboe and bassoon, and are from the Studios of Lynn University faculty members Jeffrey Khaner, Joe Manasse, Joe Robinson and Eric Van der Veer Varner.

Canyon & Joe Robinson Set for Palace Theatre's Showcase 61 Series this Month

After two successful Showcase 61 performances, the new series for emerging artists in the Upper Lobby at Stamford's Palace Theatre rolls on with Canyon on October 17th and 2008 Australia's Got Talent winner Joe Robinson on October 25th. Food will be provided at no charge by Fiesta Atlantic Restaurant, and the cash bar will feature four "Oktoberfest" beers (Goose Island Harvest Ale, Bluepoint Octoberfest, Thomas Hooker Octoberfest, Thomas Hooker IPA) in addition to wine and soda. Next Friday, September 27th, Stamford's Palace Theatre will kick off its new Showcase 61 series in the Upper Lobby with Norwalk singer/songwriter Karen Zimmer. The series, which will feature performances by up and coming artists, food from downtown restaurants, and beer and wine, will continue with violinist and singer/songwriter Ada Pasternak on Friday, October 4th, Canyon on Thursday, October 17th, and guitar virtuoso and songwriter Joe Robinson on Friday, October 25th. Outside The Box proudly announces today the official schedule for its free nine day summer performing arts festival on Boston Common and City Hall Plaza (July 13-21). The inaugural festival will kick off at noon on Saturday July 13th on Boston Common with a special performance by the Boston Children's Chorus followed by Los Lonely Boys and Los Lobos. Festival headliners Buffalo Tom, The Lemonheads and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones will perform live on Boston Common on Saturday July 20th beginning at 5pm.
