VACNJ New Members Shows Open At The Art Center On November 16

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey will host an opening reception for its two new members shows on Saturday, November 16, from 2a?"4 PM. Roz Dorlen's Out of this World: Spacescapes of the Cosmos and Serena Bocchino's Colorforms will be on view in the Marité and Joe Robinson Strolling Gallery II and in Ann's Place Gallery, respectively.

CMA Fest Reveals Lineup For Additional Free Daytime Stages

 CMA Fest has revealed the lineups for three daytime stages that are free to the public during the four-day festival in June. Chevy Breakout Stage at Walk of Fame Park, Maui Jim Broadway Stage at Bridgestone Plaza and Nashville Acoustic Corner Stage will feature over 110 performances Thursday, June 6 through Sunday, June 9,highlighting fan favorites and rising Country stars daily.

Visual Arts Center of New Jersey members are invited to submit proposals for solo and group exhibitions of work in any medium, for the 2018–2019 exhibition season. There is no entry fee and all proposals received by May 1, 2018, will be considered for exhibition in the Art Center's second floor members galleries—the Marité & Joe Robinson Strolling Gallery II & Ann's Place Gallery. The 2018–2019 exhibition season runs from September 2018– June 2019.

STEPPENWOLF Set for The New School Auditorium, 5/11-12

The Steppenwolf saga gets a new treatment in the world premiere of Steppenwolf - a musical retelling. Written and composed by 21-year-old Dutch protege Jochem le Cointre (class of 2016), The first ever staged adaptation of Hermann Hesse's classic novel, originally published in Germany in 1928, the show features a 15-piece chamber orchestra; an ensemble of students from The New School's College of Performing Arts; a cast of New York City actors and singers, including several from The New School's Mannes School of Music, School of Drama, and Lang Theater; and dancers from the renowned Martha Graham Dance Company. Choreography is by Tadej Brdnik, the former principal dancer of the Martha Graham Dance Company. Two performances will be staged on May 11 & May 12, 2016 at 7pm at The Auditorium at The New School, 66 West 12th Street, New York, NY 10011.  Tickets are free (first come, first seated) and can be reserved by visiting EventBrite.
