Natalia has been in love with shows since a moment when she saw her first musical on TV one Sunday noon. She was 6 and since then she graduated from Cultural Studies and has worked for cultural festivals and theaters in Poland, France and Croatia.
What did our critic think of FRIENDS. THE UNAUTHORIZED MUSICAL PARODY at The Kujawsko-Pomorski Music Theatre, Torun?
We all love love stories, even those with Unhappy Ending and there is something comforting with the feeling of moving forward and turning pages. Agnieszka Osiecka was not the most optimistic writer but I love her texts, full of the virtuosity of the word itself and this bitter-magical taste of vulnerability and courage to live.
What did our critic think of 44TH STAGE SONG REVIEW at Capitol Musical Theatre, Wroclaw?
What did our critic think of COUGAR, THE MUSICAL at The Kujawsko-Pomorski Music Theatre, Torun? This theater is different, founded 10 years ago, and offers a small, intimate, and friendly ambiance. With 150 seats on the top floor of an old building in a charming old town, it creates an atmosphere of a welcoming and safe space where laughter is normal, the actors are close not only in their physical dimension. As far as I know, the repertoire is tailored to the off-broadway model and to be frank, I can't wait to explore more.
What did our critic think of TICK TICK... BOOM! at Roma? Some discoveries will change your life forever. My life was transformed when I first tried a date caramel made with three ingredients: dates, peanut butter, and hot water.
What did our critic think of PIPPIN at Teatr Muzyczny Poznan? What emerges is a splendid spectacle, a memorable performance that transcends eras. It's like a symphony of the ages, a kaleidoscope of nostalgia and fantasy, like an unexpected piece of sweet chocolate in a reality pie.
What did our critic think of A MASCULINE DRAMA at Teatr Wspolczesny Wroclaw? We love to generalize, to put an individual in a common box labeled with all the qualities, or most often with faults, and then, let's close the box and make sure that nothing can come out. Marcin Libera fights with a lot of generalizations in Teatr Wspolczesny Wroclaw's new production.
If you want to see an ultra production with lasers, fireworks, and a wow effect you are in the right place! Roma Musical Theater invites you for an evening that will stir your bones and your soul; a well-directed performance designed for you to beg “Encore!”. The set design (by Mariusz Napierala) is made to impress with all the modern touches, screens, moving objects, and stairs (my personal favorite in a major musical production), it's all there! From the first second, the characters are well placed, from the dancers with stunning plastic hair to the individuals in the bohemian/anarchy groups.
What did our critic think of THEY SHOOT HORSES, DON'T THEY? at Wroclaw Mime Theatre?
What did our critic think of OPERA ITALIA at Wroclaw Opera?
What did our critic think of IRENA at Teatr Muzyczny Poznan?
What did our critic think of A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Avatar? It’s a delicious mishmash of dance, classic literature, and Christmas spirit. This adaptation of a great classic, complex and revised is a difficult show to summarize. Rather, it is a trigger to reflect, rethink and adapt. The first surprise was the skill level of the non-professional actors. Scrooge (Marcin Dawiec), Marley (Katarzyna Pawarska), and the entire dance and acting troupe were very convincing.
What did our critic think of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN at Lodz Musical Theater? This show is pure entertainment, it's fast, colorful, bright, and easy. A good time and opportunity to familiarize yourself with a musical theater that is still not very popular (whip whip) in Poland. The show is comfortable, warm, light and funny.
What did our critic think of PROMETHEUS at Hala Orbita?
What did our critic think of THE MAGIC FLUTE IN BRESLAU at Wroclaw Opera?
What did our critic think of AND THE SHIP SAILS ON at Capitol Musical Theatre, Wroclaw? If I had to describe this piece in one word, I would say elegance. In two words challenge I would say: elegant show. The three words: elegant freak show. And I love elegance, freaks, and good shows.
I had a great time watching this show. Mainly because it made fun of me. I mean not only me, but in general people who get too attached to things and collect hilarious items with even more absurd motivation. It’s a story about HAVING as a goal in life.
The second edition of the Poznan musical event is on and it is full of emotions. Everything you need to know is here but halfway through this theatrical marathon let me highlight two points.
