Special Performances of the Broadway hits The Year of Magical Thinking and Mary Poppins, benefiting The Actors Fund, will be held this year.
The Year of Magical Thinking will hold a Special Performance on Monday, June 25th at 8 PM. The show stars Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award winner Vanessa Redgrave, and is based on the memoir of acclaimed author Joan Didion. Press notes state, "Capturing the compassion, humor, and bewilderment of a fiercely intelligent woman whose world lurches suddenly from the ordinary to the unimaginable, The Year of Magical Thinking is a love letter to a child and a tribute to an extraordinary, unconventional marriage told with raw candor and a storyteller's gift for the absurd."The Actors Fund is a nonprofit, national human services organization that helps entertainment and performing arts professionals in theater, film, music, opera, television and dance through a broad spectrum of social, health, employment, and housing programs that address their essential and critical needs.
