Matilda the Musical, produced by The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers, opened on April 11, 2013 at Broadway's Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street). The four girls sharing the title role are Sophia Gennusa -- who played the lead on opening night -- Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro, each of whom is making her Broadway debut. STAGE TUBE: MATILDA Cast Performs Medley at Royal Variety Performance!

Currently playing at London's Cambridge Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Matilda the Musical is Broadway-bound in 2013. Matilda the Musical begins performances on March 4 and opens on April 11 2013 at the Shubert Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The Royal Shakespeare Company's world premiere production of Roald Dahl's Matilda the Musical will transfer to London's Cambridge Theatre, previewing from Tuesday 18 October. Bertie Carvel (Miss Trunchbull), Paul Kaye (Mr Wormwood) Josie Walker (Mrs Wormwood) and Lauren Ward (Miss Honey) will reprise their roles alongside Marc Antolin, Verity Bentham, Peter Howe, Michael Kent, Melanie La Barrie, Matthew Malthouse, Alastair Parker, Nick Searle and Emily Shaw who also appeared in the original production in Stratford.
