MATILDA THE MUSICAL Cast to Perform on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN, 6/11

Matilda the Musical will perform on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' tomorrow night Tuesday June 11. Matilda the Musical opened to rapturous reviews in April and has received four Tony Awards, the Best Musical award from the New York Drama Critics Circle, and five Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical. Each of the four girls who share the title role (Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro) received a Tony Honor for Excellence in the Theater. 'The Late Show' airs on CBS at 11:35 PM, (Channel 2 in New York). (more...)

Alex Gaumond To Join Cast of MATILDA, September 2013!

Alex Gaumond will join the company in the role of Miss Trunchbull and Kay Murphy will play Mrs Wormwood from 3 September 2013. Haley Flaherty will continue in the role of Miss Honey until 7 September 2014. Further casting will be announced soon. (more...)

RSC Celebrates New Leadership, JULIUS CAESAR and MATILDA in NY This Spring

With a new leadership team of Gregory Doran, Artistic Director, and Catherine Mallyon, Executive Director, at the helm, the Royal Shakespeare Company returns to New York this spring with two productions, Julius Caesar and Matilda the Musical. Both began their lives at the RSC's Stratford-upon-Avon home and reflect the Company's continuing commitment to Shakespeare and the work of contemporary playwrights and theatre artists, as it celebrates one hundred years of touring work from Shakespeare's birthplace to the US. STAGE TUBE: MATILDA Cast Performs Medley at Royal Variety Performance!

Currently playing at London's Cambridge Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company production of Matilda the Musical is Broadway-bound in 2013. Matilda the Musical begins performances on March 4 and opens on April 11 2013 at the Shubert Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers today announced the casting of the title role in the RSC's eagerly anticipated Broadway-bound musical Matilda the Musical. Each of the four girls will play the role at difference performances: Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro. Each girl will be making her Broadway debut. (more...)
