Jarvis Jones Picked Up By Pittsburgh Steelersby BWW News Desk - May 6, 2013In the first round of the NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers chose rookie outside linebacker Jarvis Jones from the University of Georgia. The Steelers brought him on to potentially replace their loss by not having James Harrison, the 2008 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, who they cut in March because of a salary cap move. The comparisons between the two are a long list, as Jones is there to fill the void. Although the Steelers led the NFL in fewest yards allowed in 2012, they lacked sacks and turnovers, for there were many injuries that sidelined players like Harrison. Jones is believed to bring back some of that threat and menace. He set a UGA record with 14.5 sacks in 2012, and his ability to be a nuisance in opposing backfields from the edge had him as a projected top 5 pick. Jones may not be a starter just yet, but he will definitely be getting some playing time.
