Mandy Gonzalez Joins WICKED on Broadway as Elphaba Mar. 23!

Beginning performances on Tuesday, March 23, MANDY GONZALEZ, who originated the role of Nina in the Broadway musical, In the Heights, will assume the role of Elphaba in the musical blockbuster Wicked. Mandy joins a cast which includes Katie Rose Clarke as Glinda, Tony Award-winner Rondi Reed as Madame Morrible, P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard, Andy Karl as Fiyero, Alex Brightman as Boq, Jenny Fellner as Nessarose, and Timothy Britten Parker as Dr. Dillamond. WICKED Comes To Omaha As Part Of Broadway Across America

Tickets to Wicked, a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Godspell, Pippin, Academy Award winner for Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt) and book by Winnie Holzman (?My So Called Life,? ?Once And Again? and ?thirtysomething?), based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, will go on sale Friday, March 6, beginning at 7:00 a.m. Tickets will be exclusively available and must be purchased in person at the Ticket Omaha Box Office inside the Holland Performing Arts Center, 13th and Douglas streets, Omaha, Neb. West End WICKED Breaks Its Own Box Office Records; Alexia Khadime Returns as Elphaba in May

The hit musical Wicked, now in its third year at London's Apollo Victoria Theatre, broke Box Office records last week with the highest weekly gross of its entire run. The musical grossed ?885,294, beating its own record of ?873,020 set in the final week of December 2006. Almost 20,000 theatregoers attended 9 performances of the musical last week. (more...)
