Musical Theatre West Presents Benefit Screening of 'Forever Plaid, the Movie' March 14

Musical Theatre West is honored to present a benefit 'First Look' screening of Forever Plaid, the Movie, starring original 'Plaids' Stan Chandler, David Engel and Larry Raben, as well as Daniel Reichard, best known as the star of the Broadway production of Jersey Boys. The event will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach and will feature a screening of the film proceeded by dinner onstage at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center with the cast, a question and answer session following the screening with cast members and production staff including Forever Plaid creator Stuart Ross, and a dessert reception to cap off the evening. The 25th Annual Southland Theatre Artists Goodwill Event-S.T.A.G.E-will present THE BROTHERS GERSHWIN-GEORGE & IRA as its silver anniversary event on Saturday, March 21 and Sunday, March 22 at the Wilshire Theatre Beverly Hills. S.T.A.G.E. is the world's longest continuously running AIDS benefit. Net proceeds from the annual event benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), an organization now in its 26th year of providing direct services and HIV/AIDS prevention education throughout Los Angeles County. JERSEY BOYS Chicago Offers Tuesday Night 'STAGE SIDE CHATS' 3/3 - 4/7

As an additional effort to bring the arts into the community, Jersey Boys is proud to announce the addition of six Stage Side Chats with cast members. Audience members at Tuesday night performances March 3 through April 7 will be invited to a brief question and answer session following that evening's performance with the actors who bring this show to life eight times a week.
