Audra McDonald was a guest on Thursday's episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan to talk about starring on Broadway in Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. During the interview, McDonald talks about being nude on stage and where the intimacy in the show really is.

As part of the 73rd Annual Tony Awards, legendary playwright and librettist Terrence McNally was honored with one of the Lifetime Achievement Award. A revival of his play Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune is currently on Broadway, starring Audra McDonald and Michael Shannon. The new Broadway production of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune, starring Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award winner Audra McDonald and two-time Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon, directed by Obie Award winner Arin Arbus, will play the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street) on Broadway. Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune will begin previews on Saturday, May 4, 2019 and open officially on Thursday, May 30, 2019. The strictly limited 16-week engagement concludes on Sunday, August 25, 2019.

On this day in 2011, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN opened on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre.

Nathan Lane was a guest on Monday night's episode of 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.' During the interview, the 'Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus' star shares some horror stories of the most critical reviews ever given on Broadway. He tells Colbert about the worst review he got for his Broadway debut, and the worst review playwright Terrence McNally received for his debut.

On this morning's episode of TODAY on NBC, Audra McDonald stopped by to talk about the latest season of the CBS All Access series she stars in, 'The Good Fight.' During the interview, she talked about how she'd love to have a musical episode of the series, but that she's gotten to sing on the series. Al Roker then went to ask McDonald about her upcoming return to Broadway in FRANKIE AND JOHNNY IN THE CLAIR DE LUNE. McDonald tells TODAY that she is 'very excited to do that.'
