Richard E Grant will appear 'as live' on stage interacting with the real actors in a never seen before 3D hologram effect - a first for a theatrical production. Using a combination of cutting edge technology and traditional theatre illusion this effect allows live actors to perform alongside filmed sequences.

Artistic director Timothy Sheader will direct George and Ira Gershwin's hit musical comedy, Crazy for You as the final show in the 2011 season at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre from 28 July - 10 September. The creative team from the multi-award winning production of Hello, Dolly! reunite as Stephen Mear choreographs and Peter McKintosh designs. Gareth Valentine returns as the musical director after joining the Open Air Theatre last season for Sondheim's Into the Woods.

In these heady days of austerity and bank bailouts, it's no surprise Dubliners are looking for a bit of escapist entertainment. And, no, I'm not talking about the Eurovision song contest. Only slightly less campy is the UK tour of Spamalot, playing through May 14th at Dublin's Grand Canal Theatre, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a more delightful antidote to the recession blues.
