The producers of the award-winning production of SISTER ACT THE MUSICAL have announced that stage and screen talent Lee Mead will star as Eddie Souther from Monday 10 June 2024. Following her acclaimed return to London's West End, Ruth Jones will now also extend her run as Mother Superior until Saturday 3 August 2024.

On Sunday November 20th, Donmar Warehouse will host A Song For Luce, a tribute concert in memory of the late Australian-born UK performer Lucinda Shaw. The event will include live music, stories, laughter and the joy of coming together to share wonderful anecdotes about Lucinda. The performance will be at 18:00.

Liz White will make her Chichester debut as Joy Gresham, opposite Hugh Bonneville as C.S. Lewis, in William Nicholson's award-winning play Shadowlands, directed in the Festival Theatre by Rachel Kavanaugh and running from 26 April - 26 May (press night: 2 May). They are joined by Sally Cheng, Giles Coram, Emilio Doorgasingh, Lauren Hall, Andrew Havill, Beruce Khan and Timothy Watson, with Ruari Finnegan and Eddie Martin sharing the role of Joy Gresham's young son.

Shea's Performing Arts Center and The Lipke Foundation announced the nominees for the 25th annual Kenny Awards in 14 award categories. Nearly 200 students and educators from the 10 finalist schools attended the announcement live at Shea's Smith Theatre. The announcement was also aired live on Shea's Performing Arts Center's Facebook page.

Ryan McBryde directs Carol Starks (Jane), Andy Coxon (Ed), Marilyn Cutts (Rose), Ella Dunlop (Gemma), Lauren Hall (Anna), Joel Harper-Jackson (Tom), Craig Mather (Edward) and Gary Wood (Harry). Open auditions were held in Colchester to cast Young Rose, and the part will be alternated by three young people local to the theatre. Pieces of String, designed by 2017 Linbury Prize Finalist Fin Redshaw, opens on 27 April at the Mercury, with previews from 20 April and runs until 5 May.

Sheffield Theatres today announce that their major new revival of the Irving Berlin musical Annie Get Your Gun is to extend its run for one week due to public demand. The production which opens on 8 December will now run until 21 January. Tickets are on sale now.
