Playwrights Horizons and MCC Theater will present the world premiere of John J. Caswell, Jr.'s Wet Brain, directed by Dustin Wills. A terrifyingly inventive look at addiction's ability to transform one's existence and relationships, Wet Brain offers an American family drama that is not only freed from realism, but also, perhaps unmoored from Earth itself.

LAByrinth Theater Company will launch into its 30th Anniversary season with the return of The Barn Series 2023, an annual festival featuring a full roster of new plays, and Día Y Noche, a world premiere production written by David Anzuelo (Shared Sentences) and directed by Carlos Armesto (The Who’s Tommy).

Rising musical theater composers Jaime Lozano and Florencia Cuenca share the premiere of this Mexican musical about the death and disappearance of hundreds of women and girls in Ciudad Juárez, México.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Script in Hand playreading of the comedy, “Ripcord,” written by David Lindsay-Abaire on Monday, November 14, at 7 p.m.  Lindsay-Abaire is currently represented on Broadway with book and lyrics for the musical, “Kimberly Akimbo.”

Florencia Cuenca brought her acclaimed project “Broadway en Spanglish” which premiered on stage at Joe’s Pub on October 3rd. Florencia takes her musical upbringing and gives her favorite theater numbers a new life. See photos here!

Jaime Lozano has arranged some of Florencia Cuenca's favorite Broadway tunes to match her Mexican heritage and the result is an exciting new way of looking at some of our own favorites, too.

Musical Theatre Composer, Jaime Lozano and Singer/Director, Florencia Cuenca are bringing DESAPARECIDAS to Joe’s Pub on Monday, March 28th, 2022 at 7:00 pm. Their show explores the systematic oppression of women in the fight to end gender-based violence and the killing of women and girls in Ciudad Juárez, México.

The Chain Theatre will present a staged reading of the new play The Demand of Avarice by Matthew McLachlan on Friday, October 1 at 8pm. A Simple Herstory is a theatrical and high concept podcast series about the women who have run for President of the United States. The series is produced by The Muse Project and presented by The Tank.

The Tank announced today the full line up for Lime Fest, which will present 20 performances between Saturday August 14– Saturday August 28, 2021. The Tank’s LimeFest celebrates a dozen new works by over 80 emerging artists who identify as women, nonbinary or gender non-conforming to make way for more gender parity in the performing arts.
