Hellloooo. First time poster, long term reader. Right, this WILL sound silly to most people. I'm young, poor and pretty much in love with Musical Theatre. As a student I can't afford to be spending £40 on a ticket to each show. So, Fellow Great British theatre lovers - how do I get cheap tickets? What sites do I go on? What booths do I stalk? Who's grandmother do I murder!? HELP ME!
Under £40 is pretty easy for every single show. You can get dayseats for: Bodyguard (£25), Viva Forever (£20), Chorus Line (£19.50), Wicked (£27.50), Billy Elliot (£19.50), Singin' in the Rain (£25)
For the others, go for TKTS booth or buy one of the cheaper ticket brackets.
I've had some real bargains from lastminute.com especially if you can go mid-week.Also the theatres' own sites are worth a look.Theatremonkey gives excellent advice on good seats-often the most expensive are not the best.If you are out of town like me sign up to as many of the cheap ticket websites as you can and book early.Have fun!
