Anyone help me please? 4 of us coming from swansea next sat to see Book of Mormon and majority then want to see bodyguard in evening....anyone know how early we would need to be there on say morning to get day seats for the evening performance..
I was there the other day at 9 and no one else showed up until 9.40. But, although all the front row seats are good, the ones in the centre are particularly good for this show and those go to the early birds.
I went today, got there at 8AM, next two people showed up at 830AM, only about 6 other people were in line by the time the box office opened at 10AM. And it is a two-show day if that gives you any indication.
Well, I got to the theatre at 5:30 PM when the matinee was just finishing. People were walking out the theatre and you could still hear the band play, and got front row tickets for the next show (7:30 PM). My seat was two seats away from the centre (number 22 I think) and got a spotlight in front of me, about 50 centimteres away of my face. It was blinding and disturbing everytime it turned to me during the opening and "I Wanna dance with somebody". It hurt my eyes and gave me headache... Despite that the show was great and fun. Hope to see it again soon.
Buying a day ticket that late is never a good sign, however they aren't advertised, so punters may of bought full price tickets on the day from the box office, and not realised day tickets might of been available, all the better for us theatre fans.
Soon The Bodyguard are changing their schedule and changing Friday shows to a early and late evening show, which tells me, when a show changes their schedule, it is a caveat that the show isn't doing great business, howwever I wouldn't say its a sign that a show is struggling.
