The Last 5 Years Movie

So Anna Kendrick will play Cathy and Jeremy Jordan will play Jamie in the big screen version of Jason Robert Brown's The Last 5 Years. The director has said the movie will stick to the opposing timelines of the stage show.

I thought Anna Kendrick was great in Pitch Perfect so I'm sure she'll be great as Cathy. Never really heard Jeremy Jordan (although I will when season 2 of Smash starts in the UK) so can't comment yet on his casting.

Pretty excited about this movie - LOVE TL5Y. I'm a big fan of Jeremy Jordan too - he was brilliant when I saw him in Bonnie & Clyde on Broadway and his vocals on the Newsies OBC album are fantastic. But I have absolutely no idea who Anna Kendrick is lol

Anna Kendrick was nominated for a Tony as a kid for High Society, but is better known now for her Oscar-nominated turn in Up In The Air. From an MT point of view, she gives a great rendition of Ladies Who Lunch in CAMP, and she's the lead in PERFECT PITCH, a recent very funny film about a cappella groups also starring Skylar Astin from Spring Awakening and directed by Jason Moore (of Avenue Q fame)

Thanks DeNada. I have the OBC album of High Society - so I guess I've heard her then! Never heard of either of those movies though - guess I need to get out more lol

Up In The Air is a great movie and I love Pitch Perfect.
