Today the Chief Executive of The Mayflower Theatre southampton tweeted

"Working on a very exciting project for the autumn which would see a brand new touring show open @mayflower directed by a very talented man!"

billy elliot is my guess if its just a brand new show to the touring circuit, if its a brand new show then no idea, it could be read either way.

Would be a shame if Sunderland or Newcastle weren't the opening venue for Billy on tour. They are definitely the logical choice.
