So now that the season is officially over what were the best festive offerings anyone saw this season?
I was stuck in the ushering wormhole so I have seen Sherman Cymru's Peter Pan and Snow Tiger/Tiger y eira on a loop. Both really strong creative alternatives to Panto and with some great young talent. I'm seeing Cardiff's other 'Christmas' offering Phantom on Monday (but I've already seen this tour) I avoided the panto this year...
Without a doubt, the best Christmas show I saw was the brilliant Pasek & Paul musical A CHRISTMAS STORY, which I saw on Broadway. Close second - the fabulous Matthew Sklar & Chad Beguilin musical ELF.
Didn't really see any "festive" shows in the UK - I HATE panto! lol
I did see HONK! at the Tabard theatre - not really a Christmas show, but it was billed as the theatre's "holiday season" offering - and it was fantastic. Going to see it again on Sunday - and also next Thursday with a group of friends. Anyone, who's not seen this - get there quick as it closes on Jan 13 and it's too good to miss.
