Have the queues for day seats at Constellations or Richard III been particularly bad? I remember how early people had to arrive for Jerusalem, not sure if another Mark Rylance show will be just as bad...
Nothing like that, Constellation you could turn up a bit latter in the day and bag a day ticket, if going for a day ticket bare in mind that the stage is very high.
Anyone know when one should arrive in the morning to queue for Bodyguard day seats? (I know, I know.) This thread would be a great resource for anyone who attempts to day seat any show to report back!
I dayseated a couple of weeks ago. Thursday of a double matinee week, so it was a two show day. Got there at 8.15am already two people in queue, nobody else showed up till about 9.15am. By 10 there were probably about 15 people in the queue.
Was dayseating Uncle Vanya the Saturday of the same week so I could see the Bodyguard queue. First person didn't show up till 9am, but the queue looked fairly long by 10.
Once day seats are £25 each, front row and people have been reporting getting there when the box office opens and still getting tickets (that was before opening night though, the show *just* opened).
The Audience day seats are just £10 each but has crazy long queues.
I don't think they are officially but if you show up say 30 minutes before the show starts there's a very likely chance you'll get best available for £20.
They don't advertise them, but yes, they do £20 best available 'day seats' which are available really right up until the show due to the fact it's not busy
They are not advertised, except for signs outside the theatre, I bagged a day seat a couple weeks back for a Friday 8:30 show, the seat was one of the best in the house and a ex premium seat.
Saw Matilda, Once, The Audience, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, One Man Two Guvnors, and Billy Elliot.
Just to report on day tickets: - Once and One Man Two Guvnors -we arrived 8:15 a.m.; plenty for everyone - The Audience: we arrived around 7 a.m. and just made the cutoff. We were prepared to get a single seat and a standing room, but then a pair in stalls miraculously appeared in their system as we were being assisted, so we grabbed it. After the show, we found out they were producer's seats.
Thank you very much everyone who helped make my visit smooth.
@skywalker I saw Matilda a few weeks ago and got a premium ticket (front row circle) for £30 at the box office, reduced from around £85, only an hour before the performance. However, it was a midweek matinee.
Is there ANY sort of day seat/rush system for "Les Miserables"? I've wanted to see it forever in the West End, and I can't believe there isn't SOMETHING, since it's been running for 25+ years. I can't justify spending full price because I have an inkling there's cheap seats available. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before!
