. In a recent interview with GT, Paul O'Grady announced that he will present a documentary on Gypsy over the last fifty years (I guess they're taking 1962 as the year Gypsy began entertaining the world). Confirmed interviewees include Tyne Daly, Patti LuPone, and Barbra Streisand.
I hope Angela Lansbury is not left out of the interview subjects (I doubt she will be), though I can see why they'd interview Bernadette Peters OR Patti LuPone and not both. We shall see.
Pity Dolores Gray has passed on. Perhaps Sheila Hancock will get a look in, and the new Mama-to-be, Imelda Staunton, to give the British side of the Gypsy story.
