But I just don't understand the thinking behind closing one of the biggest shows in the West End just to open another one which could easily be a flop.
From what I understand, Disney does it a lot in other parts of the world. Plus if after a couple of years it wasn't doing so well, they could just put Lion King back in.
I heard this about a couple of months ago, but dismissed it as a wind up, now I have heard the same from a different third party , this definitely gives the rumour a lot more veracity.
Personally I think Disney are mad, London already has one green mess and that down at Victoria.
The Lion King has just celebrated 13 years and have every vision to run another 13 years. The Lyceum is valued home for the show and Disney, they wont take off/move Lion King for Tarzan.
As for green mess - I presume that meant Wicked?! The biggest show in the past two decades...? Or if you meant Shrek, bit harsh!
