The Broadway transfer is off... It looked at Prince of Wales for filler but backed out as running costs are too high, which is always the issue with Follies.

But surely it will be more expensive to start again from scratch than to bring over something that already has sets built etc?

Maybe. Unless the new production is done on the cheap like the Chicago Follies. Or perhaps new investors would rather a different production.
