It is being rumoured that Cameron Mackintosh will bring Miss Saigon (confirmed to return to West End Autumn 2013) at The Price Edward Theatre and Barnum (co-production with Chichester still to be confirmed) to The Palladium.
It is thought that Barnum is a more "Palladium" friendly theatre with such a history of variety and has played there before. As it's a co-production having it in one of his theatres is such a demand.
Miss Saigon, which Cameron is fully producing, he wants in his own house and its 90% sure it will be at The Prince Edward.
Jersey Boys is expected to transfer to The Geilgud.
Cameron had has his shows at other theatres before like the recent revival of Oliver! at Drury Lane. I do wonder had Charlie not taking the Drury Lane, Miss Saigon would have gone into the Drury Lane which was the show's original home and Barnum at the Prince Edward.
Is this a copy cat non-Hytner replica of the original Hytner production? Do people expect the helicopter? Will it be the 80's mega-musical size? Shame, as the most powerful moments in this piece are between two or three people in small rooms...
^From what I understand it's just going to be a "transfer" of sorts of the Dutch production. I haven't heard anything about the small design being expanded for London.

OW NO! The Dutch production sucked big times! The set was just ugly and didn't work at all! The helicopter was a lame projection that only works if you sit in the center.. P
Well Cameron has said that if the movie of Les Mis is successful (and I think it will) then he plans to make a movie of Miss Saigon. Maybe he's already made the decision to make the film and that is what they're casting for in Manila.
