For those of you who are interested in new musical theatre writing, here are some videos from the Giggin4Good charity concert at the Actors' Church, Covent Garden last Sunday - songs from the black comedy musical BASED ON A TRUE STORY by Christopher J. Orton and me (a workshop production of which was staged at the Jermyn Street Theatre back in 2010).

Recreating their roles from the Jermyn Street production were Jonathan Eio (Melchior in the UK tour of Spring Awakening, Jack in Into The Woods at the Landor) and Joe Sterling (who covered and played Mowgli in the 2011 UK tour of The Jungle Book). Joining them at the Actors' Church were Carolyn Maitland (Kiss Me, Kate in Chichester, Legally Blonde at the Savoy, Jekyll & Hyde UK tour), Kit Orton (Lancelot in Spamalot UK tour & at the Harold Pinter Theatre) and Ziggie Sky Ward (who will soon be seen in the European premiere of the award-winning Australian musical, The Hat Pin, at Greenwich).

Thanks, Jaqs! I assume you're referring to the My Land's Shore "workshop" (though we do have hopes for Based On A True Story later down the line too). Announcements regarding the director and Principal casting for the My Land's Shore workshop in January should be made in a week or so's time. Watch this space!
