There may not be a huge cast, nor a big complicated storyline but what we have here is 5 exremely talented actor/singers you will ever come across in a very emational piece with lovely melodies and heartfelt lyrics. Special mention to A J dean who is going to be huge and Lucy Vandi - both powerhouse voices. darren Day also shone as Gideon, playing his first really serious role and really seeming depressed (as opposed to his usual Grease/Summer Holiday?Godspell/Rocky Horror roles). He was also really friendly to chat to when i spotted him in Covent garden after the show. My recommendation is to go see before it closes. It is not playing for long so save Cabaret and daddy Long Legs for Nov/Dec and see this now.
Caught this yesterday and totally agree with everything Taboolie2 says above. It is great to see Darren Day stretch himself and prove that he really is deserving of his leading man status and AJ Dean is phenomenal as the bible bashing boyish bigot. Loved the songs too, can't wait for the cast recording which is apparently being released in January. This is the last week so catch it while you can. Ive rambled extensively on my blog at the link below. The Last Session
