Does anyone know what's being built on the NT's plaza. When I went by yesterday there were girders being erected. I hope its something temporary or will be sympathetic to Lasdun's building which I love.
I was wondering that myself and assumed it might be the set 'The House'?
on a side note just along from the National there is a farmers market just behind the Festival Hall, where they charge you £2:60 for a Eccles cake, I kid you not.

They are building a temporary theatre space to replace the Cottesloe Theatre, as it is being refurbished and transformed into the Dorfman Theatre, reopening in 2014. CharcoalBlue - NT Temporary Space
