The National Theatre has announced dates for its UK and Ireland tour of War Horse, which will begin in autumn 2013.
The show will visit nine venues over ten months and will commence at the Theatre Royal Plymouth on September 27, 2013, where it will run until October 12, 2013.
It will then tour to other UK destinations including Birmingham Hippodrome, the Lowry in Manchester, Edinburghs Festival Theatre and the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton.
The tour will also visit the Sunderland Empire theatre, Bradfords Alhambra Theatre and the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, as well as Irelands Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin.
This is the productions first UK and Ireland tour since 2007, when it was originally staged at the National Theatre in collaboration with South Africa-based Handspring Puppet Company.
Great that this epic and stunning show is going on tour but its really taking the mick with booking 21 months away for the July 2014 shows. I really would recommend people who do want to see the show pop up to London and see it there - ticket prices not much different looking at the charges at the WMC and you could see it this year. Rather than finding in 2014 that you have lost the tickets.
