Anyway I have never heard the score, I do have it on pre-order from Amazon though and look forward to getting it, I hope I get it before I go to Majorca next Sunday.

Didn't realise it was such a short clip, thought it was the whole album streamed for preview for a limited period ala 'Book of Mormon', just watched it and have to say I was pretty ambivalent towards it, but still look forward to listening to the whole of the cast recording.

I think 'IN' is fantastic, such a brilliant teen angst song and such a turn around from the campy 80s version. The harmonies are superb as well.

I completely agree about IN. It perfectly captures the theme of the show and relevant teen issues with a contemporary sound. I went to that preview night where they first performed this version of the song (my only experience with the show, unfortunately), and I was shocked, SHOCKED at the transformation. I almost had a tear, I was truly convinced at the time that CARRIE was fixed.

The recording seems to be very synth heavy, which makes it sound kinda cheap. I saw this production back in february and dont remember it sounding like that in the theatre. Maybe because i was so excited to actually just be there, that i didnt notice the orchestrations.... Still its great to be getting an 'offical' recording at last!

On the soundboard recordings, some of the voices and harmonies during 'In' and 'Dream On' are terrible so it will be nice to hear a properly mixed recording and also to hear some of the new/cut from previous version stuff again.

I hope we get to see a production of it soon here in the UK

LOVE what I've heard so far! I was so gutted I wasn't able to get to see Carrie in New York earlier this year, so now really can't wait to get hold of the CD! There are so many great songs in this score.
