Hoping someone can please help me. I am looking for a listing of Shows that ahve a RUSH or DAY SEAT policy. I can't seem to find anything with a full list. I just want to be able to plan. Coming from the US and very excited, but with little money.
For Day Seats it's pretty hit and miss. You just have to deal with each show individually. Most West End shows do offer Day Seats ranging from ten to twenty-five pounds and generally in the first two rows. But there are some shows - Top Hat, i.e. - which do not. Phone or inquire at the box office.
TKTS, in Leicester Square, offer daily discounts on most shows (check their website for prices) but Day Seats are always cheaper.
I'd advise walking round until you find a cheap ticket! :P

Top Hat now have day seats, the box office told me about them today.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Mark you are a good sport for compiling that list.
Also shows in non peak performances might upgrade you when you buy tickets in the gods, good example of this is Top Hat, which I have heard on here, 39 steps which I have been upgraded on a weekday matinee and ended up paying £8.50 about three years ago.
One Man, Two Guvnors also do day tickets for about £25, I bagged one Saturday night, but buyer BEWARE, you are a easy target and I ended up making my West End debut last week.

This will be my first time going to West End theatre and I could not be more excited! I am wanting to see Billy Elliot, Les Mis, Matilda, and Singin in the Rain. Are the day tickets like Broadway where you have to line up in advance in order to secure a ticket? Or can I just walk up any time after 10? I know this probably depends on popularity, but any information would help!!
Firstly I hope you have a great time and enjoy all your shows, please keep us posted.
Billy Elliot - I have always walked up just before the show and manage to bag a day ticket, I did this last week.
Les Mis - Doesn't do day seats but is on TKT's often.
Singing In The Rain - I managed to get a day seat at midday, heard of people getting a day seat later, best if you try when the show is doing a matinee, increase your chances.
Matilda - Not sure about, but understand they only have 8, so would be inclined to queue early.

Singin in the rain may have to tickets later in the day, but the better seats are sold first
