Since this as just been delayed in Australia, thinking I should see it here whie on holidays. I would rather pick me own seat, is there a is count code floating about?
Rosscoe, I know you have been a regular contributor on here for many years, I hope you have a great stay in London. If anything you want to know anything, don't hesitate to ask.
Go to the box office and ask for day seats, £25, I have snagged great stall seats 10 minutes before curtain.
The theatre (Piccadilly) is next to Regent Street, so if you wanted to get your day ticket early then do a bit of shopping, it's ideal.
I see you have seen Matilda and pretty much loved it, have you seen anything else? What do you plan to see?
Thanks for the heads up, will head in and see about a day ticket on Monday. Catching Sweeney next Wednesday night, have friends who want to see Les Mis.
Does Les Mis do day tickets as well or better to do TKTS?
Sadly that will most likely be all I get to see this trip... I need to ride the coasters at Thorpe park as well!
Thorpe Park is fun, but I suggest you do a "Merlin" London Day; do Tussaudes, Sea Life, London Dungeon and The London Eye. The London Dungeon is especially entertaining, with 3 rides, shows and some quite nifty special effects - including a fun Sweeney Todd element! Enjoy!
Les mis dosent do dayseats, it is on tkts but not always and often only 25% off and sometimes that discount is off of premium price not standard stalls.
Clap, sad to say that I loathed nearly everything about it! Over produced, over staged, over directed! The show finally came alive when Oda Mae Brown arrived, and went back to a dull evening the moment she left!
I so wanted to comb the lead actress hair, I mean really grieving is fine and all but that birds nest atop your head steals focus!
While some of the effects where very well done, the show felt forced, hated the projections during the love scene on the couch.
Shame you didn't like this, its a bit of a favourite on the West End board, at least you only paid £25, it must of been worth that? I got a feeling when Ghost shuts next month, this will not be seen again anywhere anytime soon.
Any other shows lined up? If you get a chance see 'Singin In The Rain' and 'One Man, Two Guvnors', if you get a chance check out Blood Brothers and Warhorse.
Phantom, seeing Sweeney on Wednesday night, and that will be it for this part of the trip. Back again in about fourteen days after holiday in Norway and hopefully Iceland.
Was looking forward to Ghost, but it just didn't work for me!
