Is American Idiot the Musical any good?

I am not a big fan of the American skate punk band Green Day but I see that there musical American Idiot is coming to the UK in October till December and playing a uk theatre tour playing a week in each theatre up and down the UK and it will finish with 2 weeks in London. The bnad Green Day are not in it. I see it is an all American cast that they have shipped over for the shows.
I see it has played on Broadway and done 2 tours of America. I just wonder if it is any good and if I would like it as said not very big fan of Green Day?

I LOVE the show but i also love the music, it's quite a powerful show but 99 percent sung through.

I went in loving the album. For years. And it was fantastic hearing these songs I love sung by legit Broadway rock/belters. But as a piece of theatre its a mess.

Had a great time though.

Maybe I'm too old to be the target audience but I found the Broadway production way too loud! The set design and lighting were excellent however.

Saw it on Broadway and LOVED it. Fantastic score and visually stunning.
