Hello, everyone. In three weeks I will be making my first trip to London and I am very excited about it. I plan on seeing a show of course. Leaning towards Sweeney Todd. Does anyone know if I should by tickets in advance or is that a show that I can buy at TKTS? I realize that when I am there, the show will only have two more weeks to run.
I would love your advice. Or any other suggestions of shows. I live in NYC so I have seen a lot of shows that have played here. What about Taboo that I hear is playing soon? Missed it when it played here.
As you said, the show will be near the end of its run, though that shouldn't have too much of an implication for you unless you're planning to see one of the very last performances. I like to book in advance if there's a specific show I want to see, but I understand TKTS has been pretty good for this show. There are the dayseats, of course, but that does seem to mean a pretty early start.
This link has top price seats for the show for £37 (a pretty good deal, I recently bought excellent top price seats for £33 myself):
If you're thinking of any other shows or decide against Sweeney Todd, may I recommend Singin' In The Rain? Simply the best new show in London right now (altogether better than Sweeney Todd, I might add)
Whatever you see, I hope you enjoy it and your trip to London :)
