As rumoured, rock of ages will downsize to a smaller venue. As daily mail says it will head to the Duchess from Feb.

Burn the floor will play a season, fresh with strictly stars from this years cast.

Memphis is due to start from May 2013.

I think Memphis should do okay at the Shaftesbury, the theatre about the same capacity as the Shubert Theatre on Broadway, be interesting who they cast, maybe Montego Glover could come over?

I would love for Montego to come over. I'd also love Gareth Gates to be in it.

Whilst I dont have much interest in this (was bored by the dvd) I hope Adam Pascal comes over, he would get me to see it

Funnily enough, I spoke with Adam Pascal at the stage door at Memphis on Broadway, him being in the show made me see it again and I asked about the West End and if he enjoyed working and living here and would he do it again if he got a chance, he said to me 'are you kidding' and looked at me to suggest I was mad to ask such a preposterous question.

With Memphis now finished which will give nearly a year sabbatical for Montego and adam, so think there will be a good chance both will be coming over.

I think Huey is a role that can quite easily be cast with UK talent. That said, the same for Felicia though Montego is the Tony winner.

She should of got the Tony, Montego was incredible, that year the Tony committee got themselves in a twist, with anybody who had been within 100 yards of the Hollywood sign.

I cannot think who would make a great Huey from the UK, Adam would be great in the part.

Adam Cooper?? His voice isn't the strongest.

Agreed, but I think it's OK for Memphis.

And I know I've been throwing his name around a lot recently (what can I say? I'm a fan) but Edward Baker-Duly.

Huey in Memphis is an extremely challenging vocal role, epecially 8 times a week.

Hadley Fraser? Im not sure myself but he does have a hell of a voice.

I always think of Ramin Karimloo as kinda like the UK answer to Adam Pascal, but while I can hear him sing it I'm not sure I can see him act it.

If he could be tempted back from Hollywood, Luke Evans could possibly pull it off

True but it would need someone better than Adam Cooper. Don't get me wrong, he (like Adam Garcia) is brilliant in more dance based lead roles (such as Don Lockwood) but something that requires a bigger sing, no.

It's not just demanding in terms of singing though, it's the whole accent whilst singing and doing the dialogue. It's one of the more demanding male parts in recent MT

I was alluding to Adam Pascal, not Adam Cooper, the only Britiish actor who could pull the roll off and it is a big if and that is Alex Gaumond, but he would have to be auditioned.

Oh MusicalBoy are we getting your vitriol of sarcasm out at me here, because I said that I only could envisage a certain actor in the role so far, but I did go on to say it wasn't a done deal he should get the role and would need to give a blinding audition as the role of Huey isn't one dimensional as Mark E points out, I havent had a chance to think of other actor yet, but this role, needs that special actor, as it is one of the hardest roles to perform in musical theatre at the moment. So it maybe a better idea to bring over the better actor over from Broadway, than cast a mediocre British actor and ruin the part.
I don't know every actor in existence, which you allude to at your message towards me, but I have been to Broadway many times, where I have luckily enough to see Memphis three times. I normally see a West End 2/3 times a week, so yes I am fortunate to see the majority of the best actors in the world either here in London or New York, which compared to your second rate theatre record of coming up to the West End several times a year is far superior and also comes from years of experience of seeing theatre.

You're right interesting!
