I think we need a conversion table first - how many years is 1/5?

I can't see Thriller closing yet unfortunately. Billy Elliot I think is possible as its been discounting a lot this year.

I'm amazed that Stomp & Thriller are still running. Time for them to go and the sooner the better.

Also, Jersey Boys and Mamma Mia must be on borrowed time surely?

I really hope Billy has a few more years left in it yet. I'd like to see it get to 10 years but it might be a struggle.

Edit: Tried to edit the subject bar, but BWW or ISP doesn't allow me to.

Wanted to put up: Now We Have Drawn Blood This Week, What About The Longevity Of Other Long Running Shows.

Sorry.

When I saw the stalls for Billy Elliot mostly empty on a Thursday matinee, I thought the show was starting to struggle.

I'd just be glad to see the back of Wicked and Thriller Live.

Mamma Mia! is moving to the Novello next month so it'll be interesting how it fares in its third home.

Stomp I imagine has low running costs so it can survive for a few more years. The 39 Steps which has run 6 years I reckon will be around for a bit longer.

Thriller will be around for a while yet.

Rock of Ages is looking at going to a smaller theatres (Playhouse rumoured) Shrek's off in the new year

Billy I think will be next for the chop, if things don't look up, I would say next Spring could see it close.

Jersey Boys could easily just transfer to a small venue and still do well. They have the film opening in a few years so I would think they'd try to Hang On (boom boom) for that. There are rumours of it heading to the Geilgud or Wales if Mormon doesn't take off towards the end of next year as Cameron is eyeing Miss Saigon and Barnum for The Prince Edward.

If Billy were to close in the Spring, it would probably require a long closing notice to wind things down and to drum up interest to see the show in its final months.
