Imelda/Michael Sweeney understudies?

Does anyone know if the Understudies for Michael/Imelda have been on at all during the Chichester or London run?

I dont think either have missed a show yet which is quite phenomenal!

I believe you are right and since the whole cast have taken holiday these 2 weeks, neither of them will need holiday cover! They might call in sick in their final month but it doesn't look likely. I'm not sure if an understudy performance was ever planned. I would have loved to have seen the legendary Valda Aviks go on for Imelda.

I haven't heard anything about Michael or Imelda missing a performance - not in Chichester and not in London. Michael was ill during some of the Chichester run but still did the show.

I think the only understudy that has been on in London is Wendy Sommerville as the Beggar Woman.

I would love to have seen Valda too.

I was at one of Micahels "ill shows" in Chichester as speaking to him afterwards he was sniffing and heavily bunged up, you couldn't tell at all during the performance, saw it again in London where he was perfectly healthy and the performance was no different! A true professional!
