Now seems to be a really good time to go and see London theatre. The area is apparently frequently quiet due to the huge tourist focus on the Olympic park in the East End and the reluctance of many out-of-towners to travel to Central London/the West End due to fear of congestion. This is, apparently, not the case. I would encourage anyone to take advantage of this unique time and take in some of the wonders of the West End (I certainly am this weekend).
In addition to this, many shows are doing superb offers to boost ticket sales during the Olympics. I'll try and list some below in the hope that shows get the support they need (with the closing announcement of Dress Circle, it is clear that this is an unstable time for everybody).
These are just offers I have heard of. This list is by no means exhaustive and some offers may have ended or fees may apply. Offers may not apply to all performances. Many Fringe theatres also currently have offers. Further apologies for any incorrect information.
