Sunday 19th August Eve - Anything On?

Does anyone know of any theatre events taking place on the evening of Sunday 19th August about 8/8.30 p.m.? The only thing I've managed to find is a production of The Goverment Inspector at the Shaw Theatre. I know there are a couple of musical concerts on the day but one is at 5 p.m. and the other at 6 p.m. I'm already boooked for a show at 4 p.m. so can't make either concert.

"A Spotlight On...Charlotte Wakefield" is at the Landor on Sunday Aug 19, commencing at 7.30. Charlotte (Sophie in Mamma Mia and Wendla in Spring Awakening) is fabulous and I would be going to this myself if I were not already going to the Hippodrome for the Georgia Stitt/Scott Evan Davis/Michael Patrick Walker concert.

If you hurry, there may just be a few tickets left at the Landor!

Unfortunately I don't expect Soho Cinders to finish until about 6.30 p.m. which would make it very difficult to get to the Landor for 7.30 p.m. (need to eat dinner too). Thanks for the suggestion.

Shame it wasn't the previous week you're looking for - then you could have come to The Songwriters' Union cabaret at the Union (which features some of my songs) - we don't start till 8!

I know. When I looked at the other Sunday shows at the Union they were all at 8 p.m. but for some reason they've made the concert on 19th at 6. Would've been great to see Joanna Riding and Cassidy Janson on concert.

Would've loved to come to your concert but I'm only doing a very brief visit to London (Saturday to Monday) just to catch Soho Cinders (and Mack & Mabel). My dates always have to fit in with my mate who works shifts so it has to be dates he's off (not holidays).

I will be looking for something for the evening of Sunday 9th December but at least there's plenty of time for something to be announced.

That's great! The Actors' Church is a fabulous venue and there seem to be some amazing people in the cast of that show. I was at Chloe's cabaret at the Union last Sunday and she was seriously awesome. I also see that Rebecca Trehearn is in the show - she was one of Chloe's guests and she was pretty fantastic. And there's also the incredible Vix Hamilton-Barritt and Sabs Aloueche! Wish I was going to see that now! lol

At least you should be able to get there okay from Soho Cinders - Amy Lennox is obviously confident she can get there in time!
