Hairspray hits the road again in 2013!

Someone has posted on WOS that Hairspray will be touring again from early next year visiting the following places, has anyone heard anything?

Apparantely the casting notice has gone out for all roles excluding Edna, which has been cast

I haven't heard anything of a tour, I wouldn't.

But what I would say is that you could bring the whole identical West End set ,onto tour, as there is nothing to it, it is so basic, the most complicated part is the giant aerosol can, you never know you might even see this on cruise boats one day going round the Mediterranean!

One of my favourite musicals, might see how this fits in a regional production.

The last UK tour was pretty much the west end show, just a few minor set alterations. I just hope this one follows the same casting and set standards as the first tour and doesnt go the way of Grease

Defintely playing the King's Theatre in Glasgow. Can't wait to see it again. This'll be my 7th time.

Mark Benton is one of the country’s most loved and recognisable television actors with roles in programmes as diverse as Early Doors, Eureka Street, Catterick, Second Coming, City Lights, Booze Cruise, Land Girls, and The Street. He can currently be seen as Chalky in the BBC series Waterloo Road. On stage he has appeared in work at the National Theatre, the Old Vic, the Lyric Hammersmith, the Donmar Warehouse, the Royal Court and the RSC.
