As a frequent stage-doorer (word?), some shows/actors are better at stopping to talk to fans.
My best was the 2012 Avenue Q UK tour who came out even though their next show was in 45 minutes and they where all lovely and stopped for photos and signed, even though they had to be back inside the theatre in 25 minutes for their half hour call.
Also Gina Beck from Wicked was super lovely (my avatar) and so down to earth you felt like shed just watched the show with you :)

My first time meeting Hannah Waddingham after The Wizard Of Oz. I was so excited to meet her I remember very little about our encounter apart from her being very sweet and telling me she just turned Fiona in Shrek because she "wasn't doing green again!". Then again when I met her last month, I remember a bit more. She is incredibly sweet.
I also met Wendy Mae Brown after KMK in Chichester. When signing my programme she looked at the photo of her in rehearsals and said "ooh, back when I had a double chin. Can you please tell me I've lost some weight"

The entire cast of Master Class at the Vaudeville (except Tyne Daly, who didn't come out, as I had expected) were just lovely, especially Naomi O'Connell who is possibly the nicest person I've ever met after a show.
Bertie Carvel was also incredibly pleasant, if not a little more introverted than I was expecting, and Steve Furst was very forthcoming with Matilda related gossip!
Road Show, Company at Southwark Playhouse and Wonderful Town were all lovely experiences as well.

I don't normally do Stage Door unless I have a friend in a show (though I do have lots of friends in shows lol - so always call by to see them and they obviously are always lovely!). The couple of times I have staged doored to see people I do not know have been in New York - to see Bernadette Peters after Gypsy and Alice Ripley after N2N - and both were really lovely and spent a long time speaking to everyone, posing for photos, etc.
And, bob30, you are SO right about Gina. I've not see her at Stage Door but I have met her and she is a genuinely lovely lady as well as being awesomely talented. (Will actually be seeing her at the Union Theatre on Sunday - really looking forward to that.)

bob8 - I sent her a letter yesterday and it arrived at the theatre today and she read it and tweeted me thanking me and that she was going to reply soon. I am in awe of how grounded and genuinely nice she is!

Bob I don't mean to be rude, but you really shouldn't put all your posts on both the West End and Broadway forums. It's pretty much the same people looking at both.
I only do it when there's a difference, this is for Westend stage doors and the one on Broadway is for Broadway stage doors. Although i shouldn't of copied and pasted the original post from this onto the Broadway one, that was just me being lazy :P

Well. I would have to say Bonnie Langford after Chicago in NYC. Talked to us for over twenty minutes (well, we were only 5 people stagedooring). She told us what to do, what to see. Asked us how we though her niece was in Mary Poppins ..... Really a lovely person to have a chat with.
In my heart, I found the answered dream,
and in my soul I found the song, and in my friends
I found the magic, the love,
the moon up above- they were mine, all mine, all along..!
