Just announced that the roles of Billy and Kim in the upcoming Taboo revival in Brixton will be played by Alistair Brammer and the fantastic Niamh Perry.
Brammer has recently finished filming the role of Jean Prouvaire in the Les Mis movie and is also a former West End Marius. Niamh was the youngest of the "Nancys" in the I'd Do Anything TV show and went on to play Sophie in Mamma Mia and Fleck in Love Never Dies.
It has also been revealed that Boy George will be played by newcomer Matthew Rowland, who is about to graduate from Arts Ed. Marylin will be played by Adam David Bailey, a recent graduate from Laine Theatre Arts. So it looks as if this show may well discover some great new talent.
Steve Strange will be played by Owain Williams (Les Mis, Phantom & a fantastic member of the ensemble on the recording of my musical My Land's Shore - so really pleased about this piece of casting!)
Rather worried about the casting of The voice reject Sam Buttery as Leigh Bowery. Certainly not the first person I would've thought of. I've seen Boy George and Mark Little play the role so he has big shoes to fill.
give the guy a chance i think he will be surprising to a lot of people! However very excited for third production - more so than most crap out this year x
