There is now a website for the new musical-in-development, ROUNDABOUT (book & lyrics by myself; music & lyrics by Joe Sterling, who The Public Reviews described as "the freshest and possibly hottest new talent in musical theatre"). Many of the songs are included on Joe's debut album, SOMEWHERE IN MY MIND (www.somewhereinmymind.co.uk), which has received high critical acclaim.
The website has audio versions of some of the songs plus videos of performances of the songs at various cabarets, concerts in London. So, please take a look and listen. The vocalists you can hear include some amazing West End stars, such as Jonathan Williams (Les Miserables), Shona White (Wicked, Chess), Kit Orton (Spamalot), Ben Stott (Into The Woods, Wicked).
We are looking to set up a workshop/production of the show - so any feedback will be welcome and will assist in the creative process. And any potential investors/producers who like what they see and hear - please get in touch! ROUNDABOUT - the musical

Only time at the moment for a quick listen but first impressions-the music was a bit boring-sorry.Will listen again this evening. My Land's Shore blew me away immediately-I know it's totally different as a show.
peggyb2 - thanks so much for listening and for taking the time to comment. Even negative feedback is better than no feedback at all - it helps to get a feel for how the show will appeal to a wide audience. Hopefully you'll be more impressed when you listen some more lol. Of course, it may simply be that the genre of music is not your taste - a lot of it is folk/rock in style, though there are some more "traditional" musical theatre type songs (Joe's music is actually pretty diverse).
In many ways it's good to realise that the songs don't necessarily appeal to everyone - all the response from live audiences, critics, theatre professionals and those who've bought the album so far has been pretty euphoric. Andy Probst, in his review for TheatreMania, wrote: "Sterling's gorgeous songs tell heartfelt and witty stories in the vernacular of contemporary pop. His ear for both bubbly and emotionally charged pop music tunes and his deft ability for storytelling are wonderfully showcased..."
Hopefully a closer listen will convert you lol. If not, we will still value your comments - as I said, we need to know the full spectrum of response to the score. Also, thanks again for your support for My Land's Shore (which is indeed musically VERY different in style).
