ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER is the SHOWGIRLS of Vampire Movies

This movie was so ridiculously awful in every single conceivable way. It's 2 hours of mind numbing stupidity that I'm sure I'll buy on BD when it gets released.
"I think Glee is way too sharp, smart, witty, clever and emotionally confronting for the masses." - Dave19 - "What's next? Snow Black and the 7 Swaggers? Shasquirta and the Beast? 101 Weavematians? Willis in Ghettoland?" - Dave19, in reference to the new ANNIE remake.

I was going to see it but thought I would hold off to hear what others thought. The movie looks like a 2 hour video game. Is it at least fun? As bad as SHOWGIRLS was, I laughed the entire time and had a lot of fun.

The NYT review summed up my feelings--the movie was never going to be as good as its title.

Having Meryl Streep as a mother in law has aged Ben Walker terribly.

A little more bum ba bum bum ba da bum.

I thought he was sexy as hell in Bloody, bloody. I have yet to see a pix or video of him otherwise where I find him remotely interesting or attractive.

SO sorry to hear this about the movie!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I absolutely LOVED the book. I am seeing the movie on Sunday. I have a hard time seeing the book working as a film.

Also (and I'm really curious if other people notice this as well) it seemed to me that the film switches from being shot digitally to almost being shot on VHS. It's really rather strange how the picture quality switches off and on, sometimes mid scene.

Mashups are so 2009.
"It's now rather very common to hear people say 'I'm rather offended by that'. As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more than a whine. It has no meaning, no purpose. It has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that'. Well, so f**king what?"--Stephen Fry

Sigh. Guess I will have to wait for until Iron Sky getting a wider release for my history revisionist camp.

And of course Walker is unsexy as Lincoln. Remember who he is playing.

He's only "Old Lincoln" for the last third of the film. The first 2/3 is sexy ass Walker with a whole lot of shirtlessness.

Greatest effing movie ever made! I learned soooo much about our nation's history. Definitely have to go back and see it again. Too many layers to grasp on one viewing.

Saw this yesterday - I really enjoyed it, but I was shocked how much was changed from the book... SPOILER: Harriett Tubman and the whole railroad and silver plot line was not in the book END SPOILER, but I still really liked it. I would definitely recommend the book though even if you have already seen the movie. It was a great read.

Saw this last night, sadly wasn't fun, it lacked humour and yes Jordan it did swap halfway through scenes. The 3D was mostly lacking. This should have been a right royal joyous piece of crap. What it was, was at least thirty minutes to long.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian
