Jesus Christ Superstar will close on Broadway on July 1st unless business improves.

With Leap of Faith, Godspell and Superstar closing it would appear God has left the building.

Andrew Lloyd Webber hasn't had much luck with that Neil Simon theatre.

I'd quite like to see this with the original cast. Not sure the voices are as rocky as I'd like, but would be good to see the cast that originated the relationships in this version.

There was a 'naughty' clip on Youtube that looked so much better than any of the official promo videos - felt like there were some interesting layers in the relationships.

I wonder if a short seasonal visit to London might happen?

Is this the new Christian way of posting closure notices? A caveat if a show doesn't improve, it will be axed, the cast are still going to be peeved.

I will be in New York then and planned to see this later in the week, looks like I will be at the last show.

I got tickets to the tour a few weeks ago when it comes to Cardiff. I gotta say I was surprised that so much of the arena had already sold even before the TV starts. Are the stars that big a draw?

Phantom i think this could become the new closing announcement, buy tickets or we will close by this day. I really dont think it will make any difference.
