After years of wanting to go and see this show we finally got to see it the other night. We adore Agatha Christie and are huge fans of the books and tv series but were left wondering how the hell has this show lasted soo long? The cast were amazing and loved the set but did not find it anymore "special" than the Bill Kenwright Agatha Christie touring shows wich we enjoy so much.Curious to hear what you all think of this show.
PS we guessed the ending early on in the show but thought it would be too obvious! :o)
I'd guessed it by the interval too. I really like it, but like you say it's no more special than anyother Agatha christie. I think it's because there is something very cosy and quintessentially English about it, and harks back to an ideal of what England is to foreign visitors - which I think make up much of its audience. Add to that the curiosity factor of it running so long.
