Sierra Boggess who played Christine Daae in 'Love Never Dies' and the 'Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall is joining the West End production of 'Les Miserables' as Fantine. Caroline Sheen is pregnant and will be leaving the show sometime this summer. I think Boggess will be wonderful as Fantine.
Congrats to Caroline, and it will be nice I'm sure for Sierra and her fiancé to be working together after Rebecca got cancelled, but I've never found Sierra to be the strongest of actresses, amazing voice though

I'm not a fan of Karimloo since Phantom, but Sierra I find to be a very passionate actress and she has a beautiful voice - I just hope she has better vowel shapes and intonation in Les Misèrables.

Must admit I'm a little bit in love with Sierra. I adored her in "Love Never Dies" and thought she was wonderful in the 25th Anniversary "Phantom" - one of the best things about the production in my opinion. As I've said before, I'm not really a fan of Karimloo, whereas I think Sierra has a beautiful voice and actually has excellent acting skills as well. She is incredibly subtle and the nuance and passion she brings to a role are fantastic. I suppose it also helps that she's not bad to look at either! Both her and Tam are probably enough to get me back to see "Les Mis" yet again!
Do we think she will step into the show on June 30th? I'm in town until July 1st and would LOVE to see Sierra in the role, but if not i'll just see it sooner!
