Rowan Atkinson sold out Dury Lane in 10 minutes, by my calculations The Wyndham Theatre is 1/5 the size, so guess he sell this out in 2 minutes then.

Hmmm.. That was in a hugely popular musical with TV behind it. This isn't so mass appeal, so not sure it will sell that quickly! It will probably do very well!
This is a very strange piece for him to take on. It will certainly not appeal to the masses. Its original run didn't break box office records by any means back in 1981 and ran only a few months.
'Quartermaine’s Terms' was first presented by Michael Codron on 30th July 1981 at the Queen’s Theatre, London.
The cast included, Edward Fox ,Jenny Quayle, Peter Birch, Robin Bailey, James Grout, Prunella Scales
Director by Harold Pinter
With much humour and an undercurrent of pathos, 'Quartermaine’s Terms' looks at the lives and relationships of seven teachers who gravitate between classes to the faculty common room of their small British school for foreigners. 'Quartermaine's Terms' was named by the Royal National Theatre as one of the best 100 plays of the 20th century but is one of Simon Gray's least produced plays.
Just got back home from Wyndhams. Very interesting role for Rowan Atkinson who underplays the part perfectly, thoughts of Mr Bean banished forever. His character does come across as rather sad and pathetic though.
