We Only Do It To Get Girls - an evening of brand new songs at Freedom, Soho on June 3

If you're in or around London on Sunday June 3, please come along to the Freedom bar in Soho for what will be a great night of performances of brand new musical theatre songs by my great friends Joe Sterling and Christopher J. Orton plus some guest vocalists. They'll be singing songs from some of the musicals I've written with them plus some stand-alone songs of theirs.

Joe was one of the featured musical theatre songwriters at SimG Productions’ cabaret “Easter With The Composers” at The Battersea Barge in March and his album - “Somewhere In My Mind" - is currently a Best seller at Dress Circle and has received some great reviews (The Public Reviews described him as “the freshest and possibly hottest new talent in musical theatre”).

Kit Orton will soon be seen as Lancelot in “Spamalot” at the Harold Pinter Theatre (having played the role during the recent UK tour). The studio cast album of the musical “My Land’s Shore” (which he and I wrote together) became the Number 2 Best Seller at Dress Circle a few months ago and Stiles and Drewe described his music as “soaring, passionate and hauntingly melodic”.

The guest vocalists for the Joe Sterling/Christopher J. Orton showcase cabarate have now been confirmed. They will be JONATHAN WILLIAMS (Les Miserables, Godspell), KELLY-ANNE GOWER (Blood Brothers, We Will Rock You, Les Miserables), JONATHAN EIO (Spring Awakening, Into The Woods), MICHELLE LAFORTUNE (La Boheme) and the awesomely talented newcomer ZIGGIE SKY WARD.

And in a show which is a showcase for new musical theatre writing, one song in particular is VERY new - written just a few weeks ago by Chris orton and myself during the latest rewrite of our musical My Land's Shore - and will receive its world premiere performance on Sunday by Jonathan Williams.

And if the presence of such awesome talent is not enough to encourage people to come - the bar will be open until 3 am! lol
