I agree Princeton with the stuffy remark, The WoS at least has a sense of fun as does the Tonys and the Tonys is very entertaining even if you're not a regular theatregoer.
If it were me, I'd focus on the musical performances and have someone like Graham Norton host it.
I wonder why the Olivier doesn't divide the best supportance performance into male and female and play and musical? You can't compare a musical performance with a play performance.
There have been seperate awards for supporting performance for play and musical (Sheridan Smith & Nigel Harman) but agree that they should be split into male and female too
They're loads of mistakes as well, they had on screen that Matilda was at the Palace when it's at the Cambridge.
I agree, what was Ronan Keating doing there, I know it was musical theatre songs but that time could be to showcase musical numbers from current West End shows.
Very happy about Matilda (and the Matildas!)! But sad about One Man Two Guvnors losing. Has anyone seen The Collaborators; was the win deserved? I wish I saw it!
I agree with Scripps, who said 4 years ago, that BBC4 should do it, in those days we had to watch live streaming on the internet, which was bloody awful, so we have came along way since, but no room for complacency, there is definitely room for improvement.
Agreed Phantom of London. This year is better than last but it could and should be so, so much better. It feels, looks like and is a poorly produced show

Biggest Winner: Matilda, Regent Park Outdoor Theatre & Anna Christie
Biggest Loser: Betty Blue Eyes, Ghost, Singin’ In The Rain & One Man, Two Guvnors.
I am glad for the winners and VERY sad for the losers. Sometimes there is no fairness in show-business.
Great for Matilda, sad for Ghost, shocked at One Man not winning, awards were as good as can be expected for online but the sound was annoying. Wish London Road would have performed, wish Ghost would have done another song. Liked Betty, Matilda and Lion King performance, almost fell asleep during the Wizard of Oz performance (which i dont think can be classed as a revival or original musical so should just sod off)
