My issue, POL, is with how you phrased your opinion. You didn't state, as you have now clarified, that Alex Gaumond was the only choice to have occurred to you so far, you stated quite plainly that he was the only actor capable of attempting the part:
"the only Britiish actor who could pull the roll off and it is a big if and that is Alex Gaumond"
Although, please feel free to reject the validity of my opinion simply because you spend more time at the theatre than my 'second rate theatre record' suggests I have. If only I were rolling in bucketfuls of money too so that I could see world class actors on both sides of the Atlantic and then complain that only two or three are capable of handling a specific role.
Phantom of London, your ludicrous postings on this board and ridiculous, immature and ignorant opinions on things you have seen suggest that any opinion you have is questionable (at best) regardless of where or how often you go to the theatre.
ClapYo'Hands, I agree with you, but you are an out and out idiot, who is only a kid who thinks he is a virtuoso on all things theatre, who thinks fit to pull people who post on here up for posting Les Mis instead of Les Miserables or Phantom of the Opera instead of The Phantom of the Opera.
Musicalboy, yes I do have lots of cash to see lots of theatre, however your original hyperbole was both immature abd nasty.
Only two suggestions have been made for the West End Huey is Adam Pascal, Adam Cooper and Alex Gaumond, just shows how hard this role is to cast.
ClapYo'Hands - Your arrogance of your own self grandeur will always be your downfall.
Interesting choices of Huey's, I don't think they would be able to pull the roll off personally. As I have seen both Huey's (Chad and Adam) on Broadway, I expect to see the same or better quality in the West End.
