Zoe Wanamaker to Star in National Theatre's THE CHERRY ORCHARD '11

Zoë Wanamaker will star as Madame Ranevskaya in the National Theatre's production of Chekhov's THE CHERRY ORCHARD, whatsonstage.com reports.  The production will be directed by Howard Davies and will run in 2011.  As previously reported on BroadwayWorld, the production will be broadcast as part of the National Theatre Live intiative. 

Zoë Wanamaker's numerous theatrical credits include award-winning performances in MOTHER COURAGE and ELECTRA, as well as PIAF, Joe Orton'S LOOT, BOSTON MARRIAGE, AWAKE AND SING!, and many productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company.  Her film and television credits include the 'Harry Potter' film series, 'My Family,' and 'Agatha Christie's Poirot.'  Wanamaker is currently starring in ALL MY SONS in London's West End.

Further casting for the production has not yet been announced.
